If you’re new to reading Hentai Manga, the layout can be confusing at first. Unlike Western comics, manga follows a different reading direction. This simple guide will show you exactly how to follow the panels so you can enjoy the story as the artist intended.

The Golden Rule to read Hentai Manga: Right to Left, Top to Bottom
Look at the image above, which lays out the standard reading order for a typical manga page. The panels are numbered to show the correct flow.
- Start at the Top Right: Your starting point is always the panel in the uppermost right corner of the page. In the example, this is Panel 1.
- Move Left: From the first panel, you’ll move to the panel directly to its left. In this case, you would read Panel 2 next.
- Continue Left or Go Down: If there are more panels in the same row to the left, you continue in that direction. Once you reach the leftmost panel in a row, you move down to the next row, starting again from the rightmost panel. Following our example, after Panel 2, you read Panel 3.
- Move to the Next Row: Having finished the top row, you move down to the next tier of panels. You start again on the right side, with Panel 4.
- Repeat the Process: Continue reading from right to left. After Panel 4, you read Panel 5.
- Finish the Page: The final panel on the page is typically at the bottom, often spanning the entire width of the page, like Panel 6.
By following this simple right-to-left, top-to-bottom sequence, you’ll be able to read any hentai manga page correctly and follow the story and dialogue without confusion. Happy reading.
